Ribbon mills weave narrow fabrics, known as ribbons, featuring sturdy selvedges and a pleasant feel.
There are several types of ribbon:
Satin, recognizable by its smooth, lustrous surface, is commonly used in the fashion industry.
Coarse weave, characterized by its extreme durability, used in hatmaking.
Velvet, whose softness is highly prized in the fashion, luxury, and furniture industries.
Jacquard, which allows for specific designs to be woven into the fabric.
