The MIL-C-40088 specification covers acrylic lacing cord used in the assembly of propelling charges.
Classification
Type I: Three cords, with each cord containing not less than three single ends. Type II: Braided round cord without an interior axial core.
The specification defines several strength classes within these types.
This is an acrylic lacing-cord specification; the previous nylon tubular-cord description was inconsistent with the original military specification.
