Compression molding thermosetting resin

Compression molding is a manufacturing process used to process thermosetting materials.
The main advantage of this process is that it produces perfect geometry and finish on both sides, which is essential for assembly applications.
We are capable of producing shutters, protective covers, panels, and hatches that comply with EN9100 aerospace standards.
We can also apply a gel coat to these composite parts, giving them a flawless and durable surface finish.

Our experience as model makers enables us to design and manufacture all the components required for the production of composite parts: tooling, blanks, machining or trimming jigs, and assembly jigs.
Shutters, panels, and hatches are essential components of the secondary structure of an airplane or helicopter. They provide access to internal systems and mechanisms while protecting them from external stresses and damage.
They are secured using hinges, ball pins, latches, or screws and nuts. They may incorporate additional functions such as sealing or electromagnetic shielding.
These panels can be made from metallic materials, but the use of composite materials offers weight savings and cost reductions (polyester, phenolic, and epoxy resins reinforced with glass, carbon, meta-aramid, or para-aramid). The choice of materials depends on mechanical stresses, fluid resistance, thermal resistance, corrosion constraints, and, of course, weight.
