The MIL-W-17337 specification, also associated with MIL-DTL-17337, covers lightweight woven nylon webbing used in tactical and military textile equipment.
Made from high-tenacity Nylon 6.6, the webbing has a relatively thin, firm construction suited to attachment grids, packs, pouches and adjustment systems.
Technical characteristics
Flat, dense weave: Provides a stable surface and controlled geometry for integration with buckles and tactical hardware. Abrasion resistance: Suitable for repeated contact with metal and polymer attachment components. Dimensional stability: Designed to maintain its width and profile under normal service loads.
Both specifications are used in tactical textile equipment. MIL-W-17337 is generally firmer, while MIL-T-43566 can be selected where more flexibility is required for adjustable straps.
MIL-W-4088 covers heavier structural webbing for high-load safety applications. MIL-W-17337 is intended for lighter tactical equipment and attachment systems.
