Our facilities and equipment enable us to manufacture all types of protective covers, ranging from small sizes to several dozen meters in length, from flexible foam-padded covers to semi-rigid covers equipped with mounting systems. We regularly collaborate with our clients on these types of products, whether based on drawings or specifications.
Protective covers are essential for ensuring the integrity of the systems they protect (engine, blades, propeller, antennas).
In addition to protecting against impacts or intrusion by objects or animals, they must withstand external stresses:
- Fire safety: The materials used to make the covers are flame-retardant (FAR 28.853).
- Chemicals: Aviation equipment may be exposed to splashes of hydraulic fluids (Skydrol), de-icing agents (Kilfrost), cleaning agents (MEK), oils (IRM901), or jet fuel (Jet A1).
Many pieces of equipment require protection:
- Tires,
- Reactors, engines,
- Blades, propellers,
- Air intakes,
- Antennas,
- Pitot tubes.
- Missiles…
